  • Who We Are

More than 30 years ago, E*TRADE pioneered the online brokerage industry by executing the first-ever electronic individual investor trade. While the landscape of our industry has changed dramatically, our culture of innovation and drive to make online trading accessible to everyone continues to drive us forward. We believe in challenging the status quo, fostering an environment of curiosity and learning, and, above all, putting our customers first.

    About the Role

This full-time, Arlington-based position will help manage the day-to-day operations of the Content Review function, serving as the first-line reviewer of all content developed by the Company—including but not limited to editorial, sales and service collateral, press releases, presentations, internal communications, marketing, and customer education content.

The position will review all aspects of writing and communication, from strategic considerations such as word choice, framing, associated reputational risks, and alignment with Company positions and brand, to more fundamental aspects like grammar and format.

The position is part of the in-house Content Review team, reporting to the Senior Specialist of Content Review. The role works collaboratively with the Corporate Communications and Investor Relations teams, as well as across the Company with colleagues in Legal, Compliance, Product, Marketing, Risk, Service, and Finance.

    • Run the day-to-day content submission, review, and approval operation with an eye towards efficiency, owning the review process of highly visible communications from draft stages to final product.
    • Closely scrutinize each piece of content submitted, with a keen focus on grammar and format.
    • Work closely with legal, compliance, brand, product, and corporate communications to ensure content includes appropriate strategic direction, consistency, regulatory alignment, and thoughtful consideration of risk.
    • Work on special projects and ad-hoc requests.

    • 3–5 years of experience in financial services or related industry communications with a focus on writing and/or editing.
    • Experience managing larger-scale projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines.
    • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, or equivalent experience required.

    • Series 7 and/or Series 24 a plus.
    • Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills, with an extremely high level of attention to detail.
    • Solid understanding of accepted syntax, grammar, and Chicago style a must.
    • Solid understanding of personal finance required.
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to find mutually agreeable solutions when there are competing editorial priorities.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
