    About the Role

    The IT Governance Assurance Analyst is a highly motivated, consultative-minded individual with knowledge and experience within financial services and/or a technology company. This individual has broad based experience in technology governance and business requirements. The successful candidate will possess outstanding presentation skills, solid project management and problem-solving skills, driven by an effective communications style that builds strong relationships and impacts outcomes and decisions. This person would partner effectively with Technology, Enterprise Risk Management, Legal, Compliance and other support teams to assist in the delivery and governance of key strategic initiatives.

     

    This position requires a strategic thinker with strong collaboration skills, detailed working knowledge of compliance best practices, and familiarity in implementing programs for maintaining compliance in a highly regulated business environment.

     

    The IT Governance Assurance Analyst must be highly knowledgeable about the business environment and must ensure that information systems are proactively maintained in a fully functional, compliant mode.

     

    What we'd like you to do:

     

    Be responsible for coordinating and supporting technology governance efforts in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.  Work hard to include cross-functional coordination of the governance that relate to managing technology related issues, remediation tracking, metrics, policy, process, and preparation of oversight activities. Help govern the technology environment to ensure risks, gaps and issues related to the operating environment are escalated and tracked appropriately.

     

    Other work you would focus on:

    • Help create and manage a cyber issues management metrics dashboard to ensure timely delivery and escalation of risks, initiatives and operational metrics.
    • Oversee a plethora of issues, such as management self-identified, compliance, regulatory, audit, and other types identified through the risk and controls self assessment (RCSA) lifecycle.
    • Partner with Technology stakeholders to create, update, and enhance process documentation.
    • Establish a metrics playbook by partnering with stakeholders to understand management metrics, escalation procedures, and reporting requirements.
    • Establish a credible partnership with 1st/2nd/3rd Line owners to track, manage and identify risks and impact to the Cyber Assurance program.

    • Oversee timely remediation of root cause analysis action plans from Technology incidents.
    • Communicates and ensures programs are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and standards
    • Coordinates with IT Leadership Team, First and Second Line Risk Teams, and Internal Audit to facilitate key compliance processes and identify acceptable levels of risk
    • Collaborate with executive management and department leaders to assess near- and long-term Information Security compliance needs
    • Serve as subject matter expert to internal business

    Qualifications

    Your experience would include:

    • Bachelor’s in business, accounting, finance, computer science, information systems, engineering or a related discipline.
    • 4+ years of experience IT Governance, Compliance, Controls, or Business Analyst.
    • 4+ years of exerience in the following areas:
      • Technical security and controls standards, tools and techniques is preferred.
      • Control frameworks: COBIT, NIST CSF, and ISO 27001/27002.
      • Business and project management skills where you managed multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
      • Thinking strategically, formulating plans and articulating recommendations.

    Bonus if you have:

    • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline is highly desired.
    • CISA or CRISC certification is highly desired
    • High sense of urgency and entrepreneurial work ethic to drive the desired outcome.
    • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
    • Highly self-motivated and directed professional, with keen attention to detail
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities – including strong Excel or Tableau, Spotfire skills.
    • Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment
    • Strong customer service and solution-focused orientation
    • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
