    About the Role

     

    SUMMARY


    We are looking for an experienced Atlassian suite Administrator to help manage configuration, implement customizations, reporting, manage plug-ins, and help with all JIRA and Confluence related questions and tasks. You have domain expertise with Atlassian products and solutions, and your ability to identify business process re-engineering opportunities defines you as a skilled analyst. You have the ability to gather and translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Atlassian tools. You will be E*TRADE’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) for JIRA and Confluence, with a focus on supporting SDLC, ITIL and Agile Frameworks.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Provide configuration and administrative support of self-hosted (server) JIRA and Confluence instances.
    • Design and implement complex custom JIRA configurations including project workflows, field configurations, screen schemes, permission schemes and notification schemes
    • Implement application security. Set access permissions for JIRA projects and Confluence spaces.
    • Recommend, install, configure, test, and manage plug-ins to meet organizational and project requirements.
    • Create complex custom filters using JIRA query (JQL) for setting up dashboards and generating reports.
    • Provide overall thought leadership and best practice solutions in order to elevate the implementation and organizational adoption of the tools.
    • Provide ideas for using JIRA and Confluence more efficiently to meet business needs.
    • Collaborate and build partnerships with key stakeholders (both business and technical) to gather requirements for new JIRA and Confluence projects and enhancements.
    • Research and implement Atlassian best practices. Actively develop and improve skill set by keeping aware of industry trends, tools, and techniques.
    • Work closely with server support teams for work involving problem determination and implementation of changes to hardware, software, applications or network systems.
    • Coordinate and respond to support requests. 

    Qualifications

    Basic

     

    • Minimum of 3-5 years’ hands-on experience working with the Atlassian product suite, with specific focus on JIRA Administration.

    Preferred

     

    • Hands-on expertise with configuring and supporting 3rd party add-ons (Portfolio for JIRA, Tempo, Xray, etc.)
    • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in a rapidly changing environment
    • Good work ethic and the ability to work with diverse teams across different time zones
    • Responsive to internal and external requests
    • Excellent analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot problems and find root causes.
    • Team player with strong desire to assist and share knowledge.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent problem solving skills, process implementation skills and demonstration of critical thinking

    Nice to have

    • ScriptRunner/Groovy scripting experience
    • DevOps experience
    • Atlasssian Certified ACP-100
