    About the Role


    The Data Analytics Senior Audit Specialist is responsible for working with the Internal Audit team to identify, support and enhance audits with the use of data analytics to provide greater assurance and coverage while improving audit process efficiency and effectiveness, aiding management in their pursuit of strategic, operational, compliance and financial reporting objectives.


    • Support Audit team objectives by testing control effectiveness with the use of data analytics.
    • Develop dashboards and advanced visualizations to help proactively and continuously monitor and identify risks.
    • Identify sources of data across audit areas and have the ability to access and query the data.
    • Document and publish testing results in compliance with department and IIA standards to allow for the repeatability of data analytic tests.
    • Review prior data analytics testing and identify opportunities to enhance the previous year testing.
    • Able to identify areas where data analytics had previously not been used, and develop data analytics tests to enhance the testing of the control.
    • Contribute to the inventory/catalog of analytics that have been done as well as those analytics which have been identified but have not yet been developed.
    • Collaborate with the business and IT to understand and document the individuals, applications, and data sets involved in the processing of these transactions and/or control execution, and the process flow for each business area.
    • Ability to validate that data movement and transformations occurred completely and accurately according to design documentation.
    • Automate targeted tests to allow for efficiency and repeatability.
    • Understand and identify emerging data analytic technologies such as predictive analytics, machine learning, and robotics.





    • Four year college degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance or related major.
    • 2-3 years of working experience with Tableau



    • Advanced proficiency in scripting with SQL, SAS, R, and/or Python.
    • Ability to collect, analyze, and evaluate technology specific information pertaining to audits and prepare detailed documentation of work performed.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
    • Effective time management skills.
    • Ability to work well in a team setting.
