    About the Role

    SUMMARY

     

    The Supervisor monitors the client relationship functions of their department by implementing communication and interaction workflow systems to ensure quality services are provided to the end client. The Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of employees to ensure that client communications are interactive, proactive and thorough.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Performs RM/CM duties for the RIAs assigned and those assigned to his/her team
    • Oversees the front-line, day-to-day operations of the Conversions group and/or Relationship Management group
    • Serves as an advocate and champion for investment advisors and clients and coordinates efforts as necessary among all levels of staff throughout the company to ensure prompt and consistent delivery of excellent customer service and technology
    • Ensures that employees have current processing, procedural and training documentation.
    • Implements processes and procedures that confirm training effectiveness and skill proficiency.
    • Reviews work of employees and tracks errors to limit risk to the firm regarding duties.
    • Ensures all Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan documents are up to date.
    • Weekend and evening work may be needed.
    • Moderate travel is required.

    Qualifications

    Basic

    • Must have 3 years’ experience in the financial services industry.
    • This position requires strong analytical skills involving complex information.

    Preferred 

    • Must be able to calculate using fractions and percentages.
    • Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in written format.
    • Must be able to design an Excel spreadsheet using basic functions and create Word documents.
      Must have knowledge of financial industry practices as they relate to retirement and non-retirement plans.
    • Knowledge of a variety of personal trusts and the terminology related to them as well as knowledge of various investment products is preferred.
    • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
    • Prior leadership experience is preferred.
    • Financial industry licenses are preferred.
    • Must be able to negotiate skillfully in tough situations.
    • Must have strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement problem solutions.
    • Must be able to mentor others and delegate work appropriately.
    • Must be able to manage conflict that may arise with other departments.
    • Must be able to juggle tasks and priorities to meet rapidly changing deadlines.
    • Must be able to build and maintain rapport with external clients.
