    Senior Systems Engineer

    The Senior Systems Engineer will be part of the Infrastructure Engineering team responsible for supporting the services and products that power the E*TRADE Financial Corporation lines of businesses. If you are highly motivated and goal oriented, can handle interruptions while fluidly switching between several projects, and has a work smart not harder approach, this job will be ideal. 

     

    Responsibilities: 

    • Build and oversee windows server environments in multiple locations to support the multiple development, production and DR environments.  
    • Extensive Microsoft Windows Server systems build (physical and VMware virtual) and deployment/migration experience 
    • Work with Project Managers and Business stakeholders to design and develop solutions to address business needs and propose changes to develop effective solutions. Examine requirements documents and create technical design documents, unit test, system test and implementation plan for small to complex projects.  
    • Provide 3rd tier support or SME for various enterprise platforms and applications

    Qualifications

    Basic Requirements: 

    • Minimum 5 years of Windows PowerShell scripting or equivalent programing skills 
    • At least 3 years’ experience with Microsoft 365 cloud technologies, including: Azure AD, Office 365, OneDrive for Business, Intune MAM, Rights Management, Exchange Online and the following areas:
    • Experience with public cloud services (ie. from Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure) and integrating those into a hybrid cloud strategy for E*TRADE 
    • Familiar with virtualization technologies from VMWare and Citrix, specifically XenApp and View/Horizon, provisioning, VMWare virtual center, and performance optimization 
    • Authentication technologies, SAML, Windows Integrated Auth, MS Network Policy Servers, and MFA 

    Preferred Requirements:  

    • Microsoft System Center products (ie. SCOM, SCCM) 
    • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting experience required  
    • Excellent oral and written communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills 
    • Extensive systems/application integration 
    • Expertise with monitoring, alerting, reporting, and log analytics 
    • Developing and deploying internal tools for automation across our enterprise 
    • DevOps mindset 
    • Working in Agile/Kanban environment
