    About the Role




    Responsible for facilitating the on-time, high quality delivery of various product development activities by leading and coaching one or more delivery teams. Plays a key role in allowing the company to meet stated objectives and continuously learning to be more responsive to rapidly changing business conditions. Possesses a solid understanding of agile principles, practices, and application of multiple agile frameworks. Serves as the on-scene expert and not only understands these concepts but is able to articulate their value and the dynamics of using one or more of them. Acts as an evangelist for agility and continuous improvement enterprise wide.




    • Provides expertise, coaching, and guidance on the principles of agile business, application of those principles through the SDLC and associated processes and practices. Uses this expertise to help maximize value delivered in a sustainable manner.
    • Builds a trusting and safe team environment where problems and solutions can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on root cause problem-solving and continuous improvement.
    • Leads and monitors continuous improvement activities. This can be with a delivery team or in collaboration with other organizations across the company.
    • Removes impediments to the team’s success or, ideally, coaches the team to remove impediments themselves while protecting the team’s ability to meet its commitments
    • Coaches team self-organization and accountability as a mechanism to deliver results
    • Provides expert facilitation. This includes typical agile ceremonies such as backlog preparation, planning, retrospectives, reviews and demonstrations, daily stand-ups, and meetings of varying purposes with participants across the company.
    • Demonstrates commitment to personal continuous improvement through learning activities, seeking feedback, participation in the agile community, speaking, obtaining certifications, etc.
    • Engages and collaborates with Product Owners to ensure that work requests are properly articulated, prioritized and detailed
    • Trains team members and business stakeholders in agile principles, practices, and the SDLC in which they are applied.
    • Identifies team and individual training needs and works collaboratively with the functional managers and other leaders to ensure those needs are met.
    • Scrum Masters may be tasked with some activities associated with traditional project management activities such as status reporting, budgets, staffing, project/product communication and others as needed





    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
    • 8 or more years of related experience
    • Must be competent in multiple agile disciplines scrum including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc. This should include both strong theoretical knowledge as well practical application of those practices.
    • Must have a demonstrated track record of generating business agility at multiple companies
