    The Financial Reporting Support Manager is expected to be a Subject Matter Expert in understanding of ASC 718, Equity Compensation FASB accounting, expensing and valuation regulations and requirements. This individual will also be expected to present at conferences, client meetings, and deliver virtual presentations on equity compensation and E*TRADE’s tools and services.

     

    The Financial Reporting Support Manager does not provide accounting, tax or legal advice as part of the consulting services that his or her team provides. This position will report into the Senior Manager, Advanced Solutions.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support Corporate Service Organization in providing a clear, compelling and articulate explanation of our financial reporting value proposition to prospective and/or existing clients
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key business decision makers
    • Develop key industry contacts that will assist in building effective relationships and support the close of sales or strengthen existing client relationships
    • Help identify services to meet client needs, define methodologies and best practices to deliver those services, and participate in industry events as a subject matter expert
    • Develop process to identify, track and document FAQs and solutions for financial reporting topics and best practices
    • Create materials and conduct internal training to expand EEO financial reporting knowledge
    • Assist with external documentation and training efforts to enhance client’s reporting experience
    • Research, reconcile and resolve reporting issues submitted by Clients

    *Qualified candidate could sit remote in Arizona, Texas, California or Georgia*

    Qualifications

    Basic

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field is required, with a Master’s degree as a plus
    • 15+ years of combined experience in public accounting, SEC reporting, FP&A and/or equity compensation

    Preferred

    • Effective in training and developing other team members in complex reporting solutions
    • Strong customer service skills and excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
    • Excellent professional oral and written communication skills in order to establish working relationships with client personnel
    • Enthusiastic and creative individual who is comfortable with rapidly engaging in new client environments
    • Advanced equity compensation experience
    • Strong technical understanding of equity compensation regarding ASC 718, Equity Compensation FASB accounting, expensing and valuation regulations and requirements, including valuation models, the application of forfeiture rates and best practices
    • Advanced ability to plan and manage multiple projects in parallel
    • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills with peers, clients and leadership
    • Combination of strong analytical and documentation skills, ability to think strategically, and deep client focus; highly quality minded
    • Effective team collaboration and the ability to partner with other functional teams
    • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
    • Proven technical, client engagement, and project leadership skills
    • CPA and/or CEP certification
    • Ability and willingness to travel up to 15%
    • 5+ years of concurrent Equity Edge Online and/or other stock plan administration systems
