About the Role


Operations Middle Office Analyst


Operations is looking for a highly motivated person with strong knowledge of Operations.  The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of all Operations functions and possess a keen awareness of Operational Risk.  This role provides a great opportunity to continue strengthening Operations’ support of E*TRADE Advisor Services.  The team is responsible for Client Trade & Activity monitoring, ensuring data integrity, and providing overall operational support to various internal and external business partners. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily trade flow client activity and quickly escalate and/or resolve any issues
  • Optimize trade affirmation, allocation, and exception management to create a seamless Client experience
  • Focus on implementing straight through processing and automation of all related processes enabling maximum scalability
  • Leverage Robotic Process Automation (RPA) where possible to streamline related processes
  • Constantly seek process improvement opportunities with a full front to back approach
  • Proactively communicate with Client Relationship Managers to escalate issues and develop strong business partnerships
  • Act as point of escalation for internal and external parties in order provide immediate response and status updates
  • Build and strengthen associated controls and develop strong management information systems
  • Assist in the onboarding of new institutional clients to ensure smooth transition into E*TRADE Advisor Services
  • Coordinate across Operations teams to address any issues impacting the Institutional business
  • Develop strong working relationships with external trading partners and technology platforms
  • Establish a strong leadership position and take an active role in the development of direct reports and others
  • Identify synergies and maximize efficiency across the broader enterprise functions and teams
  • Maintain thorough understanding of business processes, policies, and system




  • Able to manage multiple deliverables in a fast paced environment
  • Deep understanding across multiple Operations functions, e.g. Clearing, Settlements, Securities Lending, Custody, and Cash Management
  • Strong communication skills with ability to adapt style and message based on audience
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with peers and senior management
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage complex problem solving
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in an area relevant to this position
