About the Role

POSITION DESCRIPTION: E*TRADE Financial Corporation has multiple openings (all levels/types) for Senior Manager, Control and Fraud Operations positions in Sandy, UT and various, unanticipated sites throughout the U.S.

 

Job Duties: Responsible for driving the implementation of the fraud prevention strategy for the firm in close collaboration with Ops Senior Management; coordinate effort across a broad spectrum of stakeholders (Ops Risk, AML, Model Risk Management, Internal Audit Compliance, Investigations) and supporting teams (Technology, Project Team, vendors and service providers); oversight and management of the Sandy Utah and Manila for Fraud Operations; senior point of contact for fraud related escalations; manage and develop Fraud managers, senior analysts and analysts to ensure continuous development of the team; produce reports and metrics for Fraud Vice Presidents regarding fraud losses and trends required for firm’s Risk and Governance channels; assist Fraud Vice Presidents with reporting for C-level Management; work to remediate issues for customers who have been victimized by Identity Theft; ensure productivity, quality and service level agreements are met; identify and communicate new fraud scenarios and/or process gaps; help with testing design for new parameters within the detection systems; identify process improvement opportunities and deliver efficiencies; improve detection rules to reduce false positive ratio; lead the creation and maintenance of internal procedures for review, research and investigation of cases; and maintain understanding of available technologies and techniques to mitigate existing and emerging fraud trends.

Qualifications

Requirements: Employer will accept Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field, followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a related occupation. This position also requires one year of experience with each of the following:

 

  1. Knowledge of Brokerage and Banking Regulations and Processes – Trading, NACHA, Reg E, Reg D, Reg CC, Hold Harmless Process, CIP (KYC), AML, OFAC, and Senior Investors;
  2. Experience leading medium to large scale projects at a senior level across organizations;
  3. Extensive management and utilization of industry fraud authentication and detection tools;
  4. Experience with different fraud activities, cybercrimes and trends including emerging threats – Credential Stuffing, Malware, Remote Access Tool (RAT), ID Theft, Account Takeover, First Party Fraud, Money Mule, Debit Card Fraud, Business Email Compromise (BEC), Document Fraud, and Check Fraud;
  5. Experience with Brokerage and Banking Services – Trades, ACH, TCH, Wires, Checks, Debit Cards, BillPay, P2P, etc.;
  6. Data analytics and metrics reporting using analytics tools – Salesforce, Excel;
  7. Experience with fraud and business rules, with different techniques and data points;
  8. Knowledge Management experience – procedures creation, training materials and execution of training;
  9. Experience managing a department, processes, and different levels of subordinates from Team Leads down to analysts; and
  10. Experience working with offshore teams.

 

Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
