This leadership role is part of the TOA (Transfer of Asset) team within Operations and offers a unique opportunity to work in a critical function of ETRADE Financial. The role is dynamic and requires continuous interaction with internal stakeholders as well as external financial services firms. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Effectively manage operations analysts by helping develop their skillsets and foster a positive, inclusive culture that retains top talent
• Recruit and recognize high performing individuals with evidenced competencies essential to success in their role
• Ensure team’s satisfactory performance against agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key performance Indicators (KPIs) and take appropriate steps to address and meet changing client and industry trends
• Take ownership of oversight of risk controls within the team, ensuring they are complete, timely, and accurate
• Escalate operational, regulatory and other risks to senior management and concerned departments
• Provide direction, oversight, advice and guidance to direct reports and functional teams within own area of responsibility to create and foster an environment of continuous improvement 
• Partner with the relevant internal functions to scope, define and implement large scale change projects to deliver sustainable process and performance improvement
• Maintain business continuity by ensuring adequate training and effective testing to ensure the company is sufficiently protected in disaster recovery/emergency situations
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in order to create highly collaborative partnerships

Basic:

• Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience (2 years of work experience can substitute for a Bachelor's Degree)
• Minimum 1 year of financial service operations management experience

Preferred:

• Deep understanding of securities operations and related core functions and controls
• Knowledgeable in the asset transfer process between financial services firms, including ACAT, DTC, and DRS
• Experience in a leadership role and able to work in virtual global teams within a matrix organization
• Excellent strategic agility, communication, influencing and presentation skills
• Ability to work in fast paced environment, keep pace with technical/operational innovation and maintain a broad understanding of the business offering
• Open-minded, goal-oriented and a can-do attitude
• Project management skills
• Ability to identify key results and critical solutions that support position objectives
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with little or no supervision/ direction
• Ability to present concepts and gain support at the senior level of the organization
• Strong prioritization skills and ability to adapt to change
• Proven organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
• Experience with SQL or Tableau
• Strong analytical skills including ability to research, schedule, analyze and present findings
