SUMMARY

As the Senior Analyst II, Quality Assurance, you will bring strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to lead the testing of a securities trading front-end application designed for our most advanced customers.  Your understanding of trading, front-end applications, and quality testing will be critical to success in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the functional testing strategy of the application: analyze and estimate stories, write and execute test plans, evaluate and execute regression, and support production releases
• Work closely with product, design, and development teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements
• Own the sprint-level work assignments of the team to ensure coverage across new features
• Coordinate with QA automation engineers to identify and prioritize appropriate test cases for automation
• Participate in the functional testing of the application, testing the UI both manually and through automated test execution and analysis
• Partner with development teams to discover, analyze, write, retest and close defects as they arise
• Work with QAs from different teams to provide end to end testing coverage
• Participate in all agile ceremonies as a member of the scrum team

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
• 5+ years of experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of securities trading
• Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, test planning, system dependencies, and product integration phases
• Experience using software feature tracking and collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence
• Demonstrated experience in the Agile/Scrum software development life cycle
• Capacity to learn quickly and share knowledge
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with short sprint cycles
• Great team player and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision

Preferred

• Experience with derivatives, options, or futures trading
• Experience with Jenkins, Git, and BitBucket
• Ability to create automated tests using Selenium framework written in Java
• Hands on experience testing web applications using SauceLabs cloud
